Tony Harris
Tony Harris is the General Manager of LG’s Supply Chain Management. His team
manages every aspect of the delivery of LG products from their completion in
our overseas factories, through our Australian distribution centres and finally
to their arrival at your business or project. Tony manages six LG distribution centres in Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane,
Adelaide, Perth and Townsville.
Orders are processed by our Order Management system to consolidate deliveries
from all distribution centres to one central point so you receive just one complete
product delivery. Orders are processed quickly and usually delivered the next day for major capital
cities and 2 days for regional locations. When stock is required from LG’s overseas
factories, it can be delivered urgently by airfreight in 4 days or 7 - 8 weeks
by sea freight.
Tony’s team use sophisticated forecasting models to anticipate product demand.
This ensures more accurate availability and delivery of products. LG’s sales
engineers and state supervisors assist this process by entering project specifications
into GCIS software, a program used by Tony’s planners for forecasting models.
This information along with tracking from other sources such as dealerships
and production schedules from overseas factories, ensure LG’s Supply Chain team
meets your needs.
